How It Works

From invite link to competition-ready, in five steps.

Telion is designed so a mentor can set up a team in an afternoon, and a new student can join and find their footing in minutes — whatever the size of your roster.

01

Create your team

An admin sets up the team and configures it to match how your team actually works: custom roles like Mentor, Captain, or Sub-team Lead, your own task statuses and priorities, and who can see or do what.

02

Invite your roster

Share a QR code or invite link. New members pick their type — student, adult, or admin — and sign in with a magic link, no password to remember on day one.

03

Coordinate day to day

Channels for sub-teams, direct messages for quick questions, and tasks with sprints and multiple assignees keep build season moving without a dozen group chats.

04

Plan events and availability

Set up meetings, scrimmages, and competitions with RSVP tracking. Parents can RSVP on behalf of their student through proxy delegation, and a team availability heatmap shows who's free before you lock in a build night.

05

Track skills over the season

Students and mentors rate progress against a structured skill framework across design, CAD, build, code, and strategy — so growth is visible, not anecdotal.

Under the hood

Built mobile-first, for the pit and the classroom

Native iOS & Android

Real mobile apps, not just a responsive site — with over-the-air updates so your team is always on the latest version without a manual reinstall.

Magic link sign-in

Students join with an email link instead of managing another password, with a guided profile setup for first-time users.

Role-based visibility

Contact info, channels, and admin tools are scoped by member type and team-defined roles, so students see what's relevant and admins keep control.
